Purpose
& procedure
By
the technique of Aptos Lift or Soft Fast Lift, the surgeon uses
resolvable or non-resolvable anti-drooping suturing threads
which are placed (using special thin
needle cannulas) underneath the skin
surface on the area to be treated. The
operation is carried out in local anesthesia,
ambulatory, and is almost risk-free. The
procedure does not
directly address the drooping of subcutaneous tissues, as
it is the case with the SMAS technique. The lifting effect
is realized through a traction thus
repositioning of the relaxed cutaneous
tissues through the special threads,
whose particular structure has been
specifically projected in order to
lift and fix the soft tissue of
the face back into its original
natural position. No classical visible scars
are left. Once positioned the thread
induces a natural reactive fibrotic reaction
causing the natural tightening of the
treated area and the long term stabilization
of the result which lasts several years,
depending on the patients age but also
on the type of threats applied. The treatment can
be repeated.
Note:
Based on our long term experience the
Aesthetia Specialists recommend to
require the use of Aptos
type of threads, which are the only
one over the world covered with the CE mark
guaranteeing, which stands for a
functionality and quality controlled
product. The resolvable threads
dissolve within few months after the
treatment. Thanks to the induced
natural tightening of the treated
areas, the result
lasts for years.
Anesthesia
Local
anesthesia
Hospital
stay
Ambulatory
- no hospital stay
Connection
with eyelid lift
It
is possible to combine the Aptos lift
with the eyelid lift and this is quite
often done so.
Recovery
Swelling
may be present for few days. No
scars left, no stitches to be removed.
Longevity
The
result of the Aptos Lift lasts for up
to 5 and more
years. The treatment can be repeated.
It is possible to apply permanent
threads for a longer lasting result.
