Purpose
of Labioplasty
(Labioplasty - Labiaplasty - Vaginoplasty): Vaginal
aesthetic rejuvenation or
the correction of the functional
problematic (sexual discomfort) and/or
aesthetic problematic of too long
vaginal lips
through their reduction.
Procedure
The internal labia is surgically
reduced. The incision is closed with a
high precision cosmetic suture. The
experienced surgeon in this area will
carefully remove enough skin to
correct the esthetic and/or functional
problematic but not remove too much in order
to preserve the natural function of
the labia. The
scars left are very thin, hidden in
natural skin creases and fade out
in time.
Anesthesia
The procedure can be carried out in
both local or general anesthesia.
Hospital
stay
Ambulatory with local anesthesia or 1
day of hospital stay with general
anesthesia.
Recovery
Swelling and bruising over
the next 5-8 days. Special water-resistant
plasters are applied which
can definitely be removed
with the stitches after 8
days.
