 Methods and procedures

Procedure for the Removal of Scars using Laser: High frequency pulsating Laser appliances are used. The laser beam penetrates into the skin, focusing heat into the cell layer. The heat destroys the cell layer and the blood supply of the scar tissue. This leads to the controlled reduction of the scar tissue.

 Anesthesia

Local anesthesia in the area of the scar or twilight sleep. General anesthesia is not used.

    Result & Longevity

For an optimal result usually several treatments are necessary. The controlled, laser induced inflammation must heal completely before the next layer can be removed. Final results are usually very satisfying. The result is permanent.

    Notes

It depends on the condition and on the original injury as to whether and to what extent a scar can be removed. Complete removal is not always possible.

The Laser is not suitable for the removal of deeper scars or large bulges, which can be removed by a surgical scar correction Excision

Acne Scars  and other small Scars can also be corrected effectively by Dermabrasion and other ablative methods.
