Procedure
- Advantages -
Disadvantages
An alternative to the permanent
breast augmentation lies in the
injection of fillers such as Macrolane
or the transplantation of specially
prepared body own fat. Macrolane
consists of
hyaluronic acid
which works in a similar way as
Restylane for facial wrinkle removal.
During the treatment which takes less
than 30 minutes under local
anesthesia, the Macrolane filler is
injected with a small thick needle
into the breast.
Both body fat and Macrolane may be
partially or completely absorbed by
the organism within 1 - 1,5 years.
Unfortunately with body fat the risks
of tissue hardening, rejection or
similar complications is relative
high. In some cases the injected fat is
absorbed irregularly by the organism.
That means that
the final result is difficultly predictable.
Advantages of breast augmentation by
injective fillers:
1. Treatment in local anesthesia
2. Quick recovery
Disadvantages:
1. Higher risks (body own fat)
2. Missing long term experience and
empirical data
(Macrolane )
3. Limited durability of the result
(body own fat+ Macrolane )
4. highly unpredictable result
(body own fat)
Our doctors recommend surgical
techniques with secured long term
experience, empirical data, low risks
and permanent results. In the area of
breast augmentation these requirements
are fulfilled by the use of modern
high quality breast implants.
