Laser
Skin Resurfacing
Do
Laser Skin Treatments
require a hospital stay?
Local laser skin rejuvenation and
laser removal of
wrinkles is usually
carried out as day
surgery. The patient can
leave the hospital - or
the Laser Center - the
same day. Full-face
skin resurfacing
requires a one day
hospital stay
What is better: laser lifting or a face lift?
A
direct comparison
between the two
applications is not
possible. Application
requirements and results
are truly different and
depend upon the
individual case. Laser
skin resurfacing ( laser
lifting ) is generally
performed as
day-surgery, is
lower-priced and
relatively risk free (no
danger of injury to the
nerves of the face)
compared to a surgical
face lift. On the other
hand the method is ideal
only for the removal of
fine wrinkles and will
not remove loose skin or
dynamic wrinkles such as
the nasolabial folds,
for instance.
Can Skin Imperfections also be eliminated by Laser?
Yes.
Modern laser technology
permits - thanks to
specifically applicable
laser apparatus - the
whole spectrum of skin
refining. The most
important applications
of laser dermatology
are:
|
-
Skin
smoothing ( laser
lifting effect ).
-
Removal
of the lateral
wrinkles at the eyes. (
cow-feet lines )
-
Removal
of wrinkles from
these areas:
around the
mouth,
upper/lower lip,
chin
-
Vascular
laser treatment of couperose
(broken veins)
-
Removal
of age spots,
uneven pigmentation, and
sun spots.
-
Removal
of skin growths
(warts, fibroma,
papilloma and others)
-
Removal
of natural &
artificial skin
imperfections, like
tattoos and perm. makeup
-
Smoothing
of scars (after
surgeries or injuries).

When
will I be presentable
for work?
The
initial swelling usually
diminishes after 1-3
days. Dressings will be
removed the day after
the treatment. After a
few days the patient
will be able to follow
her/his usual activities
again. The treatment of
the 'lasered' skin area
with special ointments
and nutritive substances
accelerates the healing
process.
After the Removal of
Skin Growths
no compressive dressings are
required. The patient
may resume normal
activities the next day.
