Now that just over a month has past since my surgery I write to comment on a few aspects of the experience, and to inquire about a possible future procedure.

Overall, I feel that I was treated very well during my stay in Prague. I was very impressed with the skill and professionalism of both Dr. xxx and Dr. Alawa and of the staff at the Aesthetia clinic. Everyone was very kind and I felt very well cared for. Would you please express my thanks especially to Dr. Cisarova (spelling of name?) the cardiologist who was so helpful and generous with her time when my early tests looked problematical...

I like the way I look and am especially pleased that there has been no substantial change in my overall appearance. The people who are unaware of what has been done have made no comments about a change in my appearance except to say that I look well. The people who did know have all been most complimentary about the change. I consider both points of view to be confirmation of the success of the surgery.

So my deep thanks to the doctors and to all the support staff.

I will be in Prague again for a short visit in October. Should I stop into the clinic for the doctor(s) to have a look?

At my last meeting with Dr. Alawa, when he removed the final stitches, we discussed briefly a different surgery, involving removal of excess fat and skin from my upper arms. He mentioned that that could be done although there would be a permanent scar, and ideally would involve my being in Prague for two weeks. Can you give me an idea of what that procedure would cost? And would a shorter stay be possible if I found it difficult to take two weeks away from my work? I might want to consider it for next summer.

I want to thank you for your helpfulness in explaining so well what I should expect in my recent surgery and for making the arrangements so efficiently and well.

Everything is progressing well, and at this stage I and my husband are delighted with my transformation, I look so good!

I was very satisfied with the face lift and brow lift, the hygiene and cleanliness was excellent, as were the surgeons and staff. The scars are already non existent and that is after only 4 weeks. My own g.p. was also very impressed with the neatness of the surgery. I did not suffer any discomfort after the surgery as medication was given immediately.

v... here just to let you know how i am after the surgery, well it is just over a week and i am feeling ok, there is a lot of bruising and soreness but of course this is to be expected.

I wasn't really prepared for the feeling of depression that hit me on the second day after the procedure but i got over that. First day after leaving the clinic i took a little walk to the shopping centre in Andel and i was fine, later in the evening my boyfriend arrived from Ireland and we took another little walk, I am not great about just sitting around anyway and i thought if i find it easy enough to move then it cant be too bad although i did not do to much. The next day i went walking up Petrin hill (slowly) for about an hour and it was lovely up there, the weather was great very autumnal.

I continue to wear my pressure garment and i am back to work, how long should i expect to be wearing it? I am still swollen which goes up and down especially my lower legs even though they were not treated, will this swelling continue for a long time?

The people at the clinic were very nice and very professional and took good care of me, the anaesthesiologist explained about that part of the procedure which was what i was most concerned about since i had never had one before, very strange experience though, i remember being extremely cold when i woke up!

I will keep you updated on my progress and will send some photos when swelling goes, but so far everything is grand, there is some itching at the incision sites which is probably good because according to my mother if a wound is itching it is healing! or maybe this is an old wives tale?

Anyway that is all for now,

anyone do it. Obviously he did not have nearly as much experience as Dr.

How about you? You seem to work all the hours God sends!
....I think your patients are very lucky to have you as their specialist, if the way you deal with them is anything
like the way you have looked after me, they are very lucky indeed!
I worked in hospitals long enough to know that SHO's and Consultants, and pretty much all the staff are under so
much pressure and have such heavy work loads, its sometimes difficult to have time to strike up a rapport with the
patient, and to keep that human element there. But that must have played a part in why they wanted to go into
medicine in the first place. Its just a shame it often gets lost in all the work.
You seem to have a gift for that though..... bravo!

Your e-mails are always so friendly I suppose its not impolite to use your name by now...
My legs are doing great. The doctor liposuctioned the outer thighs and my inner knee area where I always had a lot of fat. My left leg had surgery a few years ago for varicose veins and the surgery resulted in so many broken red and purple veins around my inner knee area that for years I have never worn short skirts or shorts above my knees. One of the great things I'm seeing as the bruising disappears is that almost all of these veins seem to have gone!! I was hoping the lipo would go well and next year take care of the awful veins but the surgery seems to have taken care of them! Fabulous!!
Is that normal?
All in all I'm fine although doing what I did in a foreign country on my own really shook me and I didn't realize that until I got home and I was literally shaking but I'm OK now.
The doctor was very nice, not at all frightening as you suggested. A nice serious man.

How's it going? Dor I'm sorry I haven't been in touch before now....things have been a little difficult, as I'm sure you will understand! When I wasn't resting after the op, I was parading round Prague with my wonderful new assets!!! (Well ok, I was walking very carefully, behind Kev so he could deflect all the mad tourists away from me so they didnt bash my boobies!)

BOOBIES! They are FANTASTIC!!!!! The best thing I have ever done was listening to you and going to Medicom and having Dr D. do them! They really are amazing! I'm so HAPPY!!!! I don't think there has been a word invented yet to describe how happy I am with them! LOL! Thank you!!!

I love Prague! Really, I could live there. We are definitely going back when we can have more time to get out and about easier. You are right, Cafe Cafe is a bit gay! But lovely. I was very good and didnt have any cakes. I have to work hard now to get the rest of me in shape to match my perfect boobs!

Back to business tho.... Dor, I'm so happy with everything. Dr Alawa is amazing. He really made me feel like I mattered, and not that I was just there to hand over money. Everything with him (and Dr D.) was so personal. We spoke Greek a little, and he was so caring, and with a sense of humour too which is very important.... we were like.... Hooray! Doctors who are human too! Brilliant!

Dr D. is also amazing. He worked wonders with my boobs. And again, he's a lovley man, who although busy with his other clients, still made time for me to feel important, and that he took everything I had to say, all my concerns etc etc on board. Both of them posed for a picture with me on my last day in Prague, which has come out really well. I love it!

The nursing staff were all brilliant, especially Irini, and the lady who worked nights. The care was second to none, and as I must have said so many times now, I'm just so happy with everything. If you want to use my details to give to prospective clients so I can be a referee and give references for you and the clinic, I would love to do it.

So, as you probably know, I had 325cc anatomics, over muscle under gland, and everything went well!

Thankyou once again for all your help, advice, funny commentary....everything. You really are a great ambassador for Aesthetia and Medicom, and you can rest assured that my boyfriend is amazed with my new boobs, I am amazed with my new boobs, and I am one very happy lady!!!!

I'll be leaving Praque in 3 hours time. I've enjoyed this city a lot; it's beautiful and so diverse.
I start to look human again (really have to laugh now when i see my pictures back with the mask on an my messy face & hair). Still have to go some time before i'll be healed properly; am still bruised and a bit swollen. .....Dr.Alawa has been so kind and professional! And so have you. If i ever need something done again or someone i know, i'll definitely recommend them to come through you to Dr Alawa.

Everything seems to be going fine, the scars look OK and I do not have

...Tomas arranged the taxi to take me back to the hotel but he said he would come with me as would like to speak to the hotel staff to give me ice and make sure they looked after me until my husband and sister arrived. After he arranged everything he left his phone number and told me to ring at any time if I needed anything. And he and Dr. Alawa would come and see me next day. In which they did. After checking if all ok, Dr Alawa ask me if I had eaten anything, I said no as I did not want to go out on my own. He said I must eat and offered to take me for something to eat I said that was very nice but I would order room service. What doctor a nice doctor I thought. Then that night I had a text message saying have you had anything to eat yet. And please if you need anything or worried please ring them. Next day my family arrived and Tomas was there to meet them. My sister screamed and said I looked more like 16 again. And she went in to have her eyes done and a face laser. Since being at home I have had text messages asking how we are. Well, we are fantastic. When going out for a family dinner my 18 year old granddaughter said I looked younger than her friends tell her she has a groovy nanny. All I can say is it was money well spent and I would recommend this clinic and your service to everyone. A big thank you to you all. For making me look younger and your kindness and care! its Herbert, thank you very much for your feedback, that I will forward and talk about all details with the doctors.
I am happy how you speak about Dr Alawa and about the result, and less happy with the general impression
about the People in Czech, but I know that you are a little bit right with that.
There are two reasons for: First one is the kind of German mind, it is a rather cool mind, and the second one is
the history and that hard times behind them. Guess, how it was difficult for me/for us 6-7 years ago to find
that surgeons among here, that you can perfectly rely on under the different criteria, and which you can
recommend without any hesitation. Later however we ( I and Dr Alawa, my professional partner) did also some
professional work of education with our staffs, regarding friendliness and "smiles" in front of the patients,
this process is still going on, although we are already far ahead at the top in this country with this..

I know, you are disappointed to not have met with me. Unfortunately it is not possible for me to meet with each
my patient personally, even I would so much want it, but since there are 4 clinics that belong to us, I would be
moving from clinic to clinic every day, that would take away incredibly much time from me which I believe is
more appreciated if I put myself at your completely personal and direct disposition online and be able to answer
any of your questions at any time, or to help by phone if needed at any time.
By the way,..I spoke with Dr Alawa after operation as usual to make sure that all is ok, and she told me that
all went perfect, so I sent you a couple of messages, but there was no reply..maybe you did not receive them.
So I was thinking on you and with you, and if all ok, as I did it now, after 4 weeks, again!
If there should arise any more question with healing or if you plan to come over for a check, just let me know,
this is my job, to be here for you.

Dear Herbert,

I am back in Ireland nearly a week now very happy with my tummy tuck. Dr... and Dr Alawa were very nice to me. Dr Alawa especially was the most gentle person I have ever met, treated me with care and kindness which made me feel very comfortable and during my post op checks she was ever so helpful. I was disappointed that i never got to meet you.

The Clinic it self was spotless clean.... There was one particular nurse who was on duty the night before i was discharged her name was Jane I think, she nursed me with such care and compassion I hope you will thank her for me.

I went to my Doctor's nurse for my dressing to be changed and some of the scar was oozing so they put me on an antibiotic and dressed it properly. It is healing very well now and Dr... made such a lovely neat scar I cant wait for the next six months so that everything will be healed and looking lovely.

There is big interest in Ireland re cosmetic surgery. Our local radio station wants me to go on the air live and talk about my surgery and the difference between eastern Europe and Ireland prices and all about the clinic and so on. It would be good business for you as well that's why i wanted to meet you.

Prague is the most beautiful place i have ever been.... only i was missing the smile on peoples faces. It must have something to do with the way they were brought up.

I am staying off work for another couple of weeks just to be completely better but i am enjoying the break. Tell Dr... and Dr Alawa that I am very happy with my op and maybe some more people from Ireland will come for surgery.

I cant thank you enough Herbert for every thing you have done for me over the last couple of months i am so happy with the tummy tuck thank you again.

I would like to thank you for the wonderful outcome of my plastic surgery.
I have to admit that I wasn't quite sure if I had made the right decision in choosing your service when I arrived in Prague. I had all those prejudices against eastern European countries.
But the clinic, the staff and of course the surgeon were fantastic !
Everybody was very helpful and qualified. When I arrived at the clinic and met the surgeon I immediately felt that I was in the right hands. The standards of the clinic were 100% comparable to those in Germany or Britain. The surgery wasn't painful, didn't take long and the outcome is just great ! I certainly intend to tell him when I arrive in Praha. You are outstanding. Just a bit of history about me. For years I worked for the US government in various countries. I am a Psychologist by profession. I am now retired. I have been coming to Praha for many years. I love the Czech Republic and the Czech people. I always stay at the same apartment. The managers of the apartment always meet me at the airport and take me to the apartment (no charge). However, I do appreciate your offer of having someone to meet me at the airport. That is most thoughtful of you. Since you have become my friend over the e-mail, I will give you the details of my current travel to Praha.
