Following
the operation the drains and the bandage are applied. The
next day the drains are taken off and the bandage is
changed. Depending upon stabilization you will leave the
hospital within 24 hours after the operation, or however
on the second after-operational day, after the check up.
The compressive bandage is removed after 5-7 days. The
remaining plasters can be removed after 12-14 days.
Importantly, the wound plaster is to be removed by pulling
in the same direction of the scar. The wound plasters are
water resistant, but it is recommends that in this time
showers are taken instead of baths, in order to avoid a

stabilizing strip over the top side of the breasts and
united at the back in order to keep and stabilize the
implants in their precise post operational position, and
to slightly stretch the breast skin under the areola
(between the areola and the breast fold) in order to
completely adapt this part to the new shape and volume. In
some cases this can be essential for the perfect natural
appearance of the new breast in every situation: Without
bra, with bra, but also in the decollete (no border of
implant will ever be visible). The special strip can be
removed, depending upon individual recommendation of the
specialist, after 14-20 days.

Light
pain belongs to the normal operative process and ends
already within 1-2 days. Before departing you will receive
appropriate pain medication from the specialist.

After
operation
After
the operation swelling and
hematoma belong to the normal post-operational process,
which disappear however within days to few weeks. The
incisions leave initially small scars, which fade in the
course of time. After an appropriate time of healing and
convalescence the scars are usually practically no longer
recognizable. The final result is given after 6 month.
Convalescence
The
convalescence is of one week. Our physicians however
recommend to
avoid
physical efforts during the first weeks and month after
the treatment. To be
especially avoided is strong
stretching as well as jerky movements of
the
upper arms. It is important not to stress the arm muscles
and breast muscles during this time and to avoid lifting
any heavy loads.
Summer
heat
In
the case that you decide to undergo the operation during
the summer time, our specialists suggest to avoid as far
as possible direct exposure to the sun and summer heat for
few days after the operation in order to not overstress
but keep stabile the thermal regulation of the organism
and the circulation.
Scar
healing - sun exposure
For
the optimal scar healing our doctors recommend to avoid
the direct sun exposure of the scar tissue as far as
possible during the
first 6
months. It is advisable to
therefore refrain from sun beds and extensive sun bathing
especially during the first 1-2 month. Later it is
possible to use sun protection creme in order to cover and
protect the scar tissue against the problematic
UV-exposure. This
precautions helps to prevent possible aesthetically
un-favorable pigmentation of the
scar
tissue.

Hygiene
-shower
Normal
daily showering is possible, owing to the water-rejecting
plasters,
already after the removal of the bandages immediately.
With cold
showering
you can energize the blood circulation well and support
the healing process.
Skin
care
Skin
care with good and qualitative products is again
recommendable after the removal of the bandages and the
stitches.
Careful
handling
After
removing the bandages and the stabilizing strips, carrying
a flexible
sports
bra is recommended for the duration of 3-4 weeks for the
stabilization of
the implants and the breast tissue. Very careful
handling of the breasts is generally recommended, also in
regards with
your
intimate partner during the first 2-3 months after the
operation. Sport, in addition, other heavy activities like
lifting of loads,
but
also domestic activities such as ironing, floor sweeping
or window
cleaning
should be avoided in this time as far as possible.
Sleep
position
For
the first 1-2 weeks you may sleep on the
back
till full pressure can be reapplied on the operated site.

The
sutures can be removed after 7-8 days by our specialist or
by the family doctor.
Generally

avoiding a possible enlargement (stretching) of the scar.

Already
after 1 to 2 days you will feel fine again. Your full
ability to work is restored
after
few days, at the latest after one week. At this time the
stitches will

removed and all normal daily activities can be taken up
again.

the stitches and

have been removed, the sports bras and elastic tops should
be used for one month, especially in
case of
physical activities. Very tight sitting or lifting bras
(wonder bras) ,
should
be avoided for the first 3 months after the operation in
order not to
impair
the result.

30-50 days the full physical capabilities are
re-established and
taking up of all sports activities are possible.

after 8-10 days by our specialist or by your family doctor.
