Precision Sutures

 Protect the wound

For fast, smooth healing of the wound it is important to keep it protected, to care for and maintain it until it has completely healed.

 Skin care solution

The application of skin care ointments strengthen the skin tissue and improve the healing process.

 Disinfectant

After the removal of the bandages, we recommend using a disinfectant 2-3 times a day, either the type found in every pharmacy or one prescribed by our surgeons.

 Avoid public saunas and pools

We recommend avoiding public places like saunas, public swimming pools, or holidays at the beach in order to prevent any possible risk of infection.

 Dont stress the skin

After the operation the skin needs relaxation and should not be stressed with sports, classical types of massages, fitness activities etc.

 Avoid direct sun exposure

Direct sun exposure of the scar should be avoided for 4-8 months after the operation.

 application of special press massages

After certain operations, especially after a facelift or eyelid lift, special press-massages can effectively improve the healing process,  minimize the risk of tissue hardening and lead to totally inconspicuous scars. The Aesthetia specialist will inform you individually regarding the intensity, the frequency, the duration and the correct period for successful application of press-massage. It is not, however, a classic type of massage but a particular press-massage on the scar tissue, to be done several times daily for a period of 1-2 months, starting usually 12-15 days after the operation.

 Plasters

The Aesthetia specialists use water-resistant plasters.  Although a bath is not recommended, you may take a daily shower without any problems. The plasters will not come off in the shower.
